Arbors at Suwanee Terrace

I posted pictures of our new house! Check out my Multiply site!

These are pictures of our house when I first moved in. It was completely bare when I bought it; only kitchen appliances were included in the house. Not even towel rails or toilet paper holders were installed in the bathrooms. I decided not to buy anything for the house until Caroline was here because she definitely has better interior design skills than me (and its fun to do these things together). So for the first few weeks, my curtains were just old bed sheets stuck to the wall using pushpins, and I used a "sampayan" to hang my towel. The only furniture I had were my old stuff... old bed, old couch, a breakfast table (with no chairs), and some household appliances (washer, dryer, tv, etc). I really didn't mind it at the time because I was still living alone.

Now that Caroline and I are now back in Atlanta, we are in the process of decorating the house and turning it into a home. We are having a really fun time doing it! It is nice to walk around stores and browsing through catalogs, looking for ideas on how to decorate. But its one thing to pick them out; its another thing to install them properly! For me, this was the more challenging part.

Despite hammering my own fingernail several times and almost (take note... almost!) making swiss cheese of the walls, everything has been installed perfectly. Now curtain rods are up, a bookcase has been assembled and placed in the living room, and I even changed our showerhead into one of those "rainfall" types.

Many thanks to friends and relatives, for without them we wouldn't have the money to decorate our house, and to Ikea and Target, from which most of our furnishings came frome!

We will have some 'before & after' pictures in the coming weeks!

Multiply

Ah... back from the bloggers grave.

My multiply account is up!  Check it out here.

My sister-in-law, Chal, tells me its much better for sharing pictures, blog entries, and networking.  It looks good so far, and since I can link it to my blogger, it is something I don't mind maintaining.  Hopefully I can use the multiply site to share pictures, as Blogger isn't very good at that.
